The Story Behind the Tee
4:38 PM.
You finally sit down.
Not for long. Just long enough to enjoy three peaceful sips of coffee before someone appears in the doorway.
“Mom, what’s for dinner?”
You look at the clock.
Seriously?
Didn’t everyone just eat?
You mentally scroll through the contents of your refrigerator. Half a cucumber. Some shredded cheese. Leftover pasta that nobody wanted yesterday. And a suspicious container you aren’t emotionally prepared to open.
“I’m thinking about it,” you reply.
Your child looks disappointed.
Apparently, thinking isn’t on the menu.
5:12 PM.
You open the fridge again, hoping something magical has happened since the last inspection.
Nothing.
You consider tacos.
Someone doesn’t like tacos anymore.
You consider chicken.
Someone had chicken at school.
You consider breakfast for dinner.
“Again?”
Right. Because apparently, feeding people every single day isn’t enough. You’re also expected to provide variety, creativity, and a dining experience worthy of a five-star restaurant.
With ingredients you were somehow supposed to remember to buy.
5:46 PM.
You’re standing in the kitchen, stirring something in a pan while answering a homework question, locating a missing water bottle, and explaining why cookies don’t count as a vegetable.
Then comes the question.
“Is dinner ready yet?”
You stare into the distance.
For one beautiful second, you imagine a world where dinner simply appears.
No planning. No grocery lists. No arguments about mysterious green things.
Just food.
Ready.
Every night.
And then you remember that tomorrow exists.
Which means you’ll be doing this all over again.
6:23 PM.
Dinner is finally on the table.
One child wants more sauce. Another wants less. Someone asks whether there’s anything else.
You take your first bite.
And despite everything, you smile.
Because the kitchen is loud, the table is messy, and somehow everyone ended up together.
Later, while scrolling through funny mom shirts, you spot one with huge hot-pink and yellow lettering:
“I HAVE 99 PROBLEMS AND DINNER IS DAILY.”
You laugh so hard you almost spill your coffee.
Because that’s it.
That’s the entire problem.
Not one difficult dinner.
Not one chaotic Tuesday.
Dinner.
Every.
Single.
Day.
You don’t need another recipe.
You need this shirt.
And maybe someone else to decide what’s for dinner tomorrow.
❤️ More Than Just a Funny Mom T-Shirt
Some mom jokes are funny because they’re exaggerated.
This one is funny because it’s painfully accurate.
The 99 Problems and Dinner Is Daily Funny Mom T-Shirt captures one of motherhood’s most relatable everyday struggles: figuring out what everyone is going to eat. Again. Tomorrow. And apparently forever.
The design features bold, oversized typography with the statement “I HAVE 99 PROBLEMS AND DINNER IS DAILY.” Bright hot-pink lettering makes “99 PROBLEMS” impossible to miss, while the enormous sunny-yellow “DAILY” delivers the punchline with extra attitude. Cream-colored text, thick black outlines, angled lettering, and playful pink swooshes create an energetic, retro-inspired graphic that feels confident, cheeky, and fun.
No complicated illustrations. No unnecessary details. Just one hilariously familiar sentence that says everything.
This funny mom shirt is perfect for busy moms, working moms, stay-at-home moms, and anyone who has ever stared into an open refrigerator hoping dinner would somehow plan itself.
It also makes a thoughtful, funny gift for Mother’s Day, birthdays, Christmas, mom friends, or that one exhausted parent who always gets asked the same question at 5 PM.
Because motherhood comes with plenty of challenges.
But the most persistent one might just be deciding what’s for dinner.
